A body of Ikwerre Freight Forwarders operating at the Eastern Ports of the country, has inaugurated its newly elected officers.
In his address, Mr. Jonathan David Wobo, the ELECO Chairman of the association known as Ikwerre Freight Forwarders, described the election that produced the current Executive as free, fair and credible.
The ELECO Chairman at the event which took place on the 3rd of December, 2023 at Elelenwo, Rivers State, alongside the Secretary of the ELECO, Mr. Daniel Ekunali, presented Certificate of Return to Mr. Uchechukwu Oyoyo as the Chairman, Mr. Nduka Wordu as the Vice Chairman and Raymond Obua as the General Secretary.
Others include: Ms. Margaret Agala as the Treasurer, Mr.Christopher Kingsley as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) and Mr. Larry Jacobs as the association Provost.
Responding shortly after the receipt of his Certificate of Return, Mr. Uchechukwu Oyoyo, the Chairman of Ikwerre Freight Forwarders, thanked the ELECO Chairman and his team for a job, well done.
The IFF Chairman, who spoke on behalf of the Exco, promised to do their best, to ensure that the association is moved to its expected destination.
The Chairman, who in turn presented a Certificate of Recognition to Chief John Nyesom Ejekwu, the MD/CEO, Ejeks Group of Companies Limited, as the Patron of IFF, noted that his choice for the patronship position was as a result of his numerous contributions in the business of freight forwarding.
In his acceptance speech, Chief John Nyesom Ejekwu, thanked. IFF for such an honour done to him and promised to do everything possible to ensure stability and growth of the association.
Some of the dignitaries that graced the event include: Hon. Chidum Chinda and a PDP Ward Chairman in Elelenwo, Obio/Akpor LGA, Rivers State, among others.
