The Methodist Church Nigeria has honoured Mr. Anslem Nnnajiaku Ubakwe and Mr.Ibeh in PortHarcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The event which took place at the church auditorium in Bundu, PortHarcourt, on the 3rd of March, 2024 witnessed the presence of church members and guests, particularly members of Agwa Central Union (ACU), Rivers State branch, who came to honour their own.
According to the church, the Certificate of Honour been issued to Mr. Anslem Nnnajiaku Ubakwe, among others, was in recognition and appreciation to his selfless decision to honour the Church invite and request to chair one of its annual harvest at a shortest notice.
The church further acknowledged that Mr. Ubakwe, who is the President of Agwa Central Union (ACU), Rivers State branch, has been honouring and supporting its activities, despite the fact that he is not a member of the Church.
The church in the same vein, thanked Mr. Ibeh Iyalla, one of the award recipients and its member, for his numerous contributions to the development of the church and in helping to facilitate the 1st invitation and subsequent honouring of their invitations by Mr. Ubakwe.
Responding shortly, after receiving their awards of honour, the duo of Mr. Anslem Ubakwe and Mr. Ibeh Iyalla, thanked the church for such an honour and promised to continue to do their best in the service of God and humanity at large.
In his response, Comr. Magnus Ejiogu, the Vice President of Agwa Central Union (ACU), Rivers State branch, promised to replace some of the damaged ceiling fans inside the church auditorium on behalf of ACU, Rivers State branch, as a support to the honour done to its President, Mr. Anslem Ubakwe and Ibeh Iyalla, the Welfare Officer of ACU, Rivers State branch.
