The Exco and members of Maritime Publishers & Editors Forum (MPEF ), wish to congratulate the duo of Comptrollers Michael C Ugbagu as the Comptr., FOU Zone ‘C’ Owerri, Imo State and Comptr. M Babandede as the CAC of Onne Area II Command.
As “watch dogs” in the society, particularly in the maritime and oil & gas sectors of the Nigerian economy, we wish to urge and encourage the duo Comptrollers to ensure constant engagements with critical players and other relevant stakeholders in the aforementioned sectors, as the best way to go.
Ensuring transparency, trade facilitation and ease of doing business at their respective unit and command, will help them consolidate on the achievements of their predecessors, as well as surpass the revenue target or mandate of their respective areas.
On this note, we further wish to commend the Comptroller General (CG) of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), CG Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, whose leadership afforded the afformentioned Comptrollers, the opportunity to control and contribute in the revenue generation of Nigeria Customs, through their respective unit and command.
Many thanks to the CGG for looking into the issue of multiple alerts, particularly on a single cargo, as raised by freight forwarders.
We are optimistic that the collaborations of port service providers and users, as well as freight forwarders and other relevant stakeholders, if ensured, will help Nigeria Customs Service under the administration of CG BA Adeniyi to be on a pedestal of growth, stability and profitability.
Signed:
