History was made at Club 25 in Onitsha, Anambra State, as His Royal Highness (HRH) Eze Dr. Albanus Onyema Ozuruoha (Eze Chinyereugo 1) of Uwaorie Autonomous Community, Umukpo Agwa, Oguta LGA, Imo State, was bestowed with an award of honour.

The traditional ruler was on Sunday the 27th of October, 2024 presented with an award of “The Best Eze Of Our Time,” during this year’s New Yam Festival of Umukpo Town Union, Onitsha branch, led by its branch Chairman, Evangelist Smart Nwanoro.
Responding on the award of honour to HRH Eze Dr. A.O Ozuruoha, Comr. Blaise Tochukwu Elumezie, the Acting Coordinator of Umukpo Town Union, Rivers State branch, described the award as a unique award to a unique King on his reign as the traditional ruler of Uwaorie Ancient Kingdom.
Comr. Elumezie further lauded the traditional ruler on his ability to manage the affairs of the community despite numerous challenges.
He, in the mean time, commended the Chairman of Onitsha branch of the Union, for setting the pace of good leadership, for the good of all and sundry in the community.
The President General (PG) of Uwaorie Autonomous Community, Mr. Kingsley Akubuiro, also described the award recipient, Eze Ozuruoha as an impactful and worthy King of the community.
In the same vein, an Elder Statesman in the community, Elder Paulinus Oforegbu, as well as Engr. Anthony Ahamefule, commended the leadership strides of Eze Ozuruoha, hence the reason for the great honour to him by his people.
While the duo of CSP Cajethan Onwusor, a former Chairman of Umukpo Consultative Assembly and Sir Cidius Obioha, CDC Chairman of the community, among others, described the awardee as an amiable King, whose award of honour is well deserved.
All the respondents respectively lauded the giant strides of Umukpo Town Union, Onitsha branch Chairman, Evangelist Smart Nwanoro, his Exco and the entire members of the Union.
