The people of Imo State have again appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to heed and hearken to the renewed calls by the people of the State for the sack and immediate dismissal of the Representative of Imo State in the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Mr Kyrian Uchegbu.
Mr Kyrian Uchegbu incessant political interference and his constant disrespect for the office of all elected Representatives in the region is responsible for the stuttering jerks the NDDC is suffering in Imo State hence the massive call by the people of the State for the termination of his appointment by President Bola Tinubu.
Mr Kyrian Uchegbu treacherous lifestyle and his embezzlement and misappropriation trend is fast becoming a culture in the NDDC and this must be condemned and resisted by all well-meaning Imolites, particularly the people of the Niger Delta region of Ohaji Egbema Oguta Oru West to whom the NDDC is established to cater for.
This position is strengthened on the face of subterranean moves by certain unidentified persons who are bent on perpetually keeping the Niger Delta region of Imo State underdeveloped and in turmoil which are in strict contradiction with the renewed hope agenda of Mr. President.
Imo people are therefore compelled to once again issue another statement to reinforce its earlier position made last year calling on the President to safeguard and protect the sanctity of NDDC in Imo State by sanitizing and assisting the people with a management that have a very clear path and vision to sustainable development of the region, in other to continue to promote and preserve the peace in the region.
The incessant use of unprintable language and insults from Kyrian Uchegbu and his Media Team members to the office of all the elected Representatives in the region both the House of Assembly, Rep Member and Senator is unacceptable and if not properly handled by the President is capable of making people of the state to turn against each other
The Imo NDDC representative, Mr Kyrian Uchegbu and his team constantly disrespects the office of all elected Representatives in the region using some misguided individuals and miscreants to rain abuses and use unprintable names against them on the social media.
In as much as President Tinubu do not dwell much on the political system in the state, he should rather urge Kyrian Uchegbu and others to show respect for the office of the elected Representatives in the State as well try to be accountable to his people as misappropriation and embezzlement of funds is fast taking the center stage in Nddc Imo State. Kyrian Uchegbu must be relieved of his duties now before it will be too late for Mr President to act.
