Imo State has been agog in the last few days, over the celebration of Senator Hope Uzodinma’s five (5) years in office, as the Executive Governor of Imo State.
Gov. Uzodimma’s Road Project In Imo
Speaking in Owerri, the Imo State capital, a Member Representing Ohaji, Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu, described Governor Hope Uzodinma’s five (5) years in office, as the Executive Governor of Imo State, as ‘impressive.’
He enumerated on some of the achievements of Senator Uzodinma in the last five years to include, but not limited to: ensuring security of lives and property of citizens in the state, road construction, building and other infrastructural developments, as well as educational and other empowerment programmes in the state.
Hon. Dibiagwu’s Projects
Hon. Dibiagwu affirmed that the state governor was able to achieve the aforementioned, among others, despite all the security challenges in the state, especially at the begining of his administration in the state.
He was of the view that Imo State would have been a deserted state, if not for the doggedness and selfless sacrifice of Senator Uzodinma, which has in no doubt, restored Imo State to its original status of “home of hospitality,” as being witnessed today.
The House of Representatives Member in the meantime, assured of his continuos loyalty and support to the mission and vision of Governor Uzodinma for the good people of Imo State.
Hon. Dibiagwu further opined that believing in the vision and working in tandem with the mission of Senator Uzodinma, has helped him in providing the needed human and infrastructural developments in his constituency, in the last one to two years.
Recall that Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu (The Eugene of Imo Politics), had on the 4th of January, 2025 briefed his constituent members on his various achievements in the last one year plus, which include but not limited to: construction of Ihite road in Etiti Mgbidi Autonomous Community, among others, constitution of 6 classroom block at Eleh, Obogwe and other wards, installation of street lights at Umuokwu, Umuorji, Amakofa, Awara and at Izombe road, among others.
Others include: provision of various farm inputs for farmers and palliative materials for victims of oil spillage and cult clashes at various wards and communities in the constituency, among others.
It was not in doubt that the constituency briefing which was held at Oru West LGA Headquarters and adjudged to be the first of its kind in the history of the Federal Constituency, witnessed a vote of confidence in favour of Hon. Dibiagwu.
The motion for the vote of confidence on Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu (The Dangote of Imo Politics) at the event was moved by Rt. Hon. Donatus Ozoremena, former Deputy Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly and seconded by Hon. Sir Gideon Meffor, SA to the Executive Governor of Imo State on Palm Plantations (Adapalm), among others.
