In continuation of the decoration of newly promoted Customs officers, the Onne Area II Command, has concluded the decoration of its newly promoted officers from the ranks of AS, SC and CSC, among others.
The Command’s Area Comptroller, Mr. Mohammed Babandede in his address, said that the commitment to service and dedication to ensuring transparency by men and officers of the Command, paved the way for the number of promotions that the Command got.
The CAC, who thanked God for the great honour done to the Command, was optimistic that the promotions will spur all and sundry officers to do more.
He, in the meantime, lauded the spouses of the newly promoted officers for their unwavering supports, pointing out that the Command wouldn’t have done much, if not for the selfless dedication of all officers of the Command.
In his closing remarks, CSC A Fatoki, who spoke on behalf of the newly promoted officers, thanked the Area Comptroller, Mr. Babandede for his leadership role and giant strides at the Command.
He equally appreciated the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi and his management team for the wonderful job they are doing for Nigeria Customs Service and the nation at large, with a promise not to disappoint.
Speaking in an interview, Mr. Chidera Sylvester Oganuzor, the MD/CEO, Odest Global Resources Limited (Operators of Odest Bonded Terminals), congratulated the newly promoted officers for their feat.
While describing promotion as a means of encouragement to a worker, Mr. Oganuzor lauded the CAC, Mr. Mohammed Babandede and the entire officers for having 14 out of the 17 newly promoted Comptrollers, among others from Zone ‘C’.
On the emergence of bonded terminals, Mr. Chidera Oganuzor opined that the emergence of bonded terminals, particularly within Onne Area II Command, have tremendously helped in boosting the revenue generation of the Command.
The MD/CEO of Odest Global Resources, who further equated the impact of bonded terminals to the service and business of Nigeria Customs Service to 100%, added that bonded terminals have helped to ensure transparency, ease of doing business and trade facilitation, which as well, provides for prompt service delivery, among others at the Command.
