Aftermath Of Mega Promises: Hon. Eugene Dibiagwu Empowering Constituents And Connecting The People

The dew and gales of commendation that followed the recently concluded mega empowerment programme of Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu, Member Representing Ohaji, Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency at the National Assembly is yet to subside in the minds of constituents, particularly on immediate beneficiaries.

When the mega empowerment initiative was first announced by Hon. Eugene Dibiagwu during his constituency briefing on the 4th of January, 2025 and as the the news began to go viral.

To some persons, it was like the usual political statement, while to those that know Hon. Eugene Dibiagwu’s calibre of person, knew that it was already a promise made and promise kept.

The distribution/presentation of
the various empowerment items to the beneficiaries through their respective wards at Mgbidi Township Stadium in Oru West LGA, Imo State, on the 1st of March, 2025 was an indication that the Member Representing Ohaji, Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives is indeed, a “Game Changer.”

The words of commendation from the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Dr. Mrs. Chinyere Ekomaru, who simultaneously represented the state Executive Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma at the event and as well, made the presentation of each of the empowerment items to the first beneficiaries, was indeed a clear message to any politician aspiring to occupy the Reps position after Hon. Eugene Dibiagwu’s tenure, to be ever ready to do the needful, as Hon. Dibiagwu has opened the eyes of the people on what quality representation is all about.

Other commendation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman in Imo State, Hon. Macdonald Ebere; Hon. Engr. Nwabueze Oguchenti, the Commissioner for Power and Electrification, Imo State and the Director Genera of Dibiagwu Campaign Organisation; the Member Representing the good people of Oguta State Constituency in Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Engr. Gilbert Chiedozie Nwosu;
His Royal Majesty Eze C. Okeke (Eze Imo), Chairman, Council of NdI Eze, Imo State and Hon. Barr. Raph Nwosu, the Chairman of the occasion and the Commissioner for Works, Imo State, stand as a vote of confidence on the person of Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu and his leadership strides at the National Assembly.

Other notable politicians that showered their unalloyed encomium on the unequalled leadership prowess of the Reps member which include: Hon. Dr. Osuoha Uzoma Francis (Eze Buguma), Member Representing Ohaji, Egbema State Constituency; Hon. Barr. Dominic Ezerioha, Member Representing Oru West State Constituency at the State House of Assembly; Hon. Dr. Gideon Nwaeze, APC Apex leader in Oguta LGA; Hon. Dr. Henry Okafor, Commissioner for Ministry of Niger Delta and Intelligence; Hon. Sir Gideon Meffor, SA to the Executive Governor of Imo State on Palm Plantations (Adapalm) and Hon. Ben John Bosco, among others, lauded Hon. Dibiagwu for his uncommon love and dexterity in bringing the government of shared prosperity to his constituents.

Hon. Dibiagwu has affirmed that the empowerment programme would be an annual event, having empowered his constituents with
33 Mini-buses, which were shared among the 33 Ward Coordinators of the Reps Member in Ohaji, Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency.

At the event, a total of 37 Motorcycles were also given to 37 constituents, while a total of 81 constituents went home with a cash sum of five hundred thousand naira (500,000:00) each, to start up their respective businesses.

In the same vein, a total of 42 Sewing machines, 45 Grinding machines, 1,500 bags of different sizes of rice, 120 pieces of Cooking stoves were as well, given to constituents at the ward level.

However, the Central Organizing Committee of Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu’s Mega Empowerment, under the chairmanship of Hon. Williams Ejiakor, must be commended for ensuring a hitch free mega event in the constituent and state at large.

For Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu, it was a promise made on the 4th of January, 2025 during his constituency briefing that there would be a mega empowerment that will quake the constituent and the state in general.

The aforementioned promise was fulfilled on the 1st of March, 2025 at Mgbidi Township Stadium in Oru West LGA of Imo State, as witnessed by the state governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, ably represented by his Deputy, Dr. Mrs. Chinyere Ekomaru, among others.

To the people of Oborji, Obegwe Awarra and Ikwerede, it was also a promise made by the Eugene of Imo Politics on that same 4th of January, 2025 that those wards or communities that were yet to benefit from his empowerment or infrastructural projects to be patient with him.

The said promise has also been fulfilled by the Reps Member, as he joyfully kicked off the construction of Oborji, Obegwe Awarra and Ikwerede road in Ohaji/Egbema LGA of Imo State on the 17th of March, 2025.

The project, when completed will enhance the road networks, movement of farm produce from rural to urban areas and economic activities in the concerned areas.

The project will further enhance on road connectivity, as Hon. Eugene Dibiagwu had completed and still constructing other roads in various communities at Ohaji, Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency in Imo State.

Because he is a man that derives joy in the service of God and humanity, Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu is currently building a gigantic church auditorium for the Catholic Church parish in his home town, Izombe in Oguta LGA, Imo State and the project is currently nearing completion.

We must commend the Honourable Member Representing the good people of Ohaji, Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives and House Committee Chairman on Regional Development, for his resilience to cultivate in the vineyard of the Lord and putting the people of his constituent on a pedestal of productivity, growth and development.
