ANLCA President Pledges Support For Isikaku’s Led Administration …Calls For Synergy Among NCS, ANLCA Chapter Exco

The National President, Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA),  Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji, has called on the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Onne Area II Command and the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Onne Port complex to continue to work in synergy with the newly inaugurated Exco of ANLCA, Onne Seaport chapter.

Mr. Nwokeoji, who made the call during his official visit to the Customs Command, under the control of Comptroller Mohammed Babandede and the management of NPA, under the watch of Abulrahmon Hussain, on the 30th of April, 2025 maintained that the essence of his visit was to present the recently inaugurated Exco of ANLCA, Onne Seaport chapter, to the Customs Area Comptroller (CAC) of the Command and the management of NPA, Onne Port complex, Rivers State.

The National President in the course of his respective visit, urged the CAC and the Port Manager, to extend the cordial relationships that existed between them and the immediate past administration of ANLCA, Onne Seaport chapter, to the newly sworn-in Exco, led by Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku (Onwa).

He thanked Comptr. Babandede and Mr. Hussein for maintaining a business friendly environments and urged them to always reach out to him in any area of disagreement between them and the new Exco, for amicable resolution of such issue(s).

Responding, Comptroller Mohammed Babandede, the Customs Area Comptroller (CAC) of Onne Area II Command, shortly after being presented with the new Exco of ANLCA, Onne Seaport chapter, thanked the National President of ANLCA, Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji for the visit and assured of always keeping the doors of the Command open for them.

He further opined that the Command, while consolidating on the existing relationship between her and the former Exco, will not tolerate anything that will undermine the integrity of the nation in the areas of security, public health and transparency in cargo declarations.

While Mr. Abulrahmon Hussain, the Port Manager, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Onne Port complex, lauded Mr. Emenike Nwokeoji and his team for the visit and disclosed some of the efforts that were currently being made by the Federal Government to ensure seamless operations at the ports, through the E-callup of trucks at Onne Port.

Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji in the course of his visit, further visited Onne Multipurpose Terminal (OMT) and West Africa Container Terminal (WACT), where he presented the new Exco of ANLCA to the duo terminal operators and commissioned a waiting room built by WACT management, for freight forwarders to carry out their businesses, while at the terminal.

He equally commended the management of WACT and OMT for their innovations and huge investments at the port.

Mr. Nwokeoji in the meantime, lauded Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku (Onwa), for his impressive leadership quality in just 2 months of his administration as ANLCA Chairman, Onne Seaport chapter and promised to give his full support to him and his Exco.

Speaking in an interview, Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku (Onwa), ANLCA Chairman, Onne Seaport chapter, affirmed of his resolve to support the effort of CAC Mohammed Babandede in the fight against any act that would undermine national security and public health, among others.

He used the medium to commend the National President of ANLCA, Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji for coming to perform his official duty of presenting the new Exco of ANLCA to the relevant agencies and establishments at Onne Seaport, adding that in the next few months, Mr. President would be invited to perform the foundation laying ceremony of the proposed ANLCA’s 30 room guests’ house and conference centre.

The National President of ANLCA, Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji, during his official visit, presented the following Exco members, which include: Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku (Onwa), as the Chairman; Alhaji Ahmed Zaccah, the Vice Chairman; Mr. Onyinye Igweonu as Secretary; Chief Pius Onyemaizu, the Financial Secretary; Mr. Samuel Amadi, the Treasurer and Hon. Obinna Nwachukwu as the PRO.

Mr. Nwokeoji during the visit, was accompanied by former ANLCA National President and BoT member, Chief Sir Ernest Elochukwu and the pioneer Chairman of ANLCA, Onne Seaport chapter, Chief Jerry Kalu, among other National Executive Committee (NECOM) members and stakeholders.

At ANLCA Secretariat, Onne, the National President of ANLCA, Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji, alongside Chief Sir Ernest Elochukwu, former National President and current BoT member and Chief Jerry Kalu, the pioneer Chairman of ANLCA, Onne Seaport chapter, were presented with awards of honour by Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku (Onwa).
