The Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), has taken another significant step towards fostering stronger flow of leadership from the NECOM to the chapter Executives of its body.
This is as the National President of ANLCA, Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji, on Thursday, 10th July, 2025 inaugurated the Presidential Committees of ANLCA at its chapter Secretariat in Onne, Rivers State.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji said that the essence of creating and subsequent inauguration of the Committees is to restore the image, respect, and scheme of the association, even before government agencies.
He emphasised that the decision to allow time for the dissolution and reconstitution of chapters’ Committees was to avoid duplication of Committees at the National and Chapter levels of their great association.
While inaugurating the Presidential Committees which is said to be the first phase, Mr. Nwokeoji said: “Your appointment is not to take the position of elected chapter Chairmen or the Executives. I repeat, your appointment is not to take the position of elected Chairmen, but to consolidate on their efforts.
“Any Committee that goes against the terms of reference stands the chance of being dissolved. The chapter Chairmen should as well, receive the Committees with open hands,” Mr. Nwokeoji advised.
He further used the medium to advise members to begin to migrate their PAAR and Form M from NICISS II platform to B’Odogwu platform, before the arrival of their cargo(s).
The chapter Chairman of ANLCA, Onne Seaport chapter, Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku (Onwa), who expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the National President of ANLCA, Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji, his Vice, Prince Shegun Oduntan and other members of his entourage, for their visit, also commended members of the Presidential Committees for their appointments, and wished them well in their official endeavours.
He equally used the medium to advise all ANLCA members, particularly the licensed companies to ensure adequate migration of their official data/information on NICISS II platform to the Customs B’Odogwu platform as quick as possible, pointing out that the NICISS II platform may shut down at any point in time.
Responding on behalf of the Presidential Committees Chairmen, Mr. Mike Ebeatu, the immediate past Chairman of ANLCA, Onne Seaport chapter and the newly inaugurated Chairman, Presidential Monitoring Task Force (PMTF) Eastern Zone, promised to work in tandem with the Committees terms of reference.
He assured the National President of ANLCA, Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji and the entire members of ANLCA of their readiness to serve and never to disappoint them, especially on the honour that is being bestowed on the Committees.
In his closing remarks, the Secretary of ANLCA, Onne Seaport chapter, Mr. Onyinye Igweonu, thanked Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji and his entourage for their visit and choice of ANLCA Secretariat, Onne Seaport chapter as the venue of the inauguration.
He further thanked Onne Seaport chapter Chairman of ANLCA, Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku (Onwa), for the warm reception that was accorded Mr. President and his entourage.
The Presidential Monitoring Task Force (PMTF) East is being Chaired by Mr. Mike Ebeatu, while Chief Teddy Alozie will serve as the Secretary.
Chief Obi Chima is to serve as Chairman, Terminals, Customs PCA & FOU;
Chief Maximus Anaba, Secretary and Mr. Owen Ogbonnaya as member.
Chief Tycoon Onwumere is the Chairman, Shipping Companies & Bonded Warehouse, Easter Zone; Mr. Macdonald Keke – Secretary and Pstr. Jerry Nwachukwu as member.
While Deacon Chinedu Ikenga is the Chairman, Revenue Mobilization Committee; Chief Obinna Njoku is to serve as Secretary and Prince Owen Megwa as member.
