The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Officer (O/C) in Charge of Kingsoo Bonded Terminal in PortHarcourt, the Rivers State capital, Deputy Comptroller T. Adamu, has been honoured with an “Award of Excellence,” by the Nigerian MomentumNews Online & Magazine.
Presenting the Award, the Publisher of Nigerian MomentumNews Online & Magazine, Comr. Blaise Tochukwu Elumezie, said that the Award was “In Recognition of Deputy Comptroller (DC) Adamu’s Contributions and Strict Adherence to CG BA Adeniyi’s Policy Thrust On Nigeria Customs Service Activities.”

The maritime media practitioner further enumerated on some of the contributions of DC Adamu to the Nigeria Customs Service while at the Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone “C” Isiokpo Unit as the Officer in Charge (O/C) of the Unit, before moving to Onne Area II Command, under the control of Comptroller Mohammed Babandede.
Comr. Elumezie was of the view that Kingsoo Bonded Terminal currently enjoys the expertise experience of a quintessential Customs officer, in the person of DC Adamu and the outstanding performance of his team at the terminal.
The Nigerian MomentumNews Online & Magazine Publisher, equally lauded DC Adamu for working in tandem with the policy thrust of the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi that is hinged on: transparency, ease of doing business, stakeholder engagement, trade facilitation and robust revenue generation, among others.
He in the same vein, appreciated DC Adamu for leveraging on the tireless efforts of his boss, Comptroller Mohammed Babandede, Customs Area Controller of Onne Area II Command, Rivers State, who has saved several lives and property of Nigerians, through various seizures of illicit drugs, arms and ammunition and robust revenue generation to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Deputy Comptroller T. Adamu, who thanked the Publisher of Nigerian MomentumNews Online & Magazine and his media team for the honour, emphasized on the significance of teamwork said that: “The credit doesn’t go to me alone. Team work makes the dream work.
“Whatever we are doing or achieving at Kingsoo Bonded Terminal is as a result of team work and we will continue to work in tandem with the standard of operations that are laid down by the CGC, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR and in accordance with the dictate of our boss, CAC Mohammed Babandede,” DC Adamu assured.
DC Adamu, who dedicated the Award to his team at Kingsoo Bonded Terminal, further expressed his heartfelt gratitude to them, for exhibiting their tireless efforts in upholding the terminal’s excellence. 
According to him: “This bonded terminal remains one of the best because of the backbone holding it. Kingsoo Bonded Terminal has consistently met the standards set by the Nigerian Customs Service, under the leadership of CG BA Adeniyi.
“As you can see, Kingsoo Bonded Terminal has a state-of-the-art equipment, placing it as a potential first-bonded terminal in the Eastern Zone,” DC Adamu stated.
Speaking further, Deputy Comptroller Adamu emphasized on the importance of maintaining the established standards, saying: “We hope and pray that Kingsoo bonded terminal continues to meet the standards required by the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi.
“We pray that before the end of the 2nd quarter of this year, Kingsoo Bonded Terminal will be the first to key into the Authorized Operator system of Nigeria Customs Service’s Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) platform, by the grace of God.”
