It was indeed, a privilege to the management and crew of Nigerian MomentumNews Online & Magazine, as they were received by Assistant Comptroller (AC) Mohammed Ibrahim, Officer in Charge of Onne Area II Customs Gate, in his office, today.

The visit provided an opportunity for the Assistant Comptroller (AC) to express his deep appreciation to the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Mr. Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR for his Policy Thrust that has changed the narrative in the management and activities of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).
The Assistant Comptroller (AC) was optimistic that the recent tenure extension of the Comptroller General of Customs, Mr. Bashir Adewale Adeniyi by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will help the CG to consolidate on his various initiatives that have brought about the current transparency, ease of doing business, trade facilitation, robust revenue generation and stakeholders’ engagement, among others.
He equally appreciated his boss, the Customs Area Comptroller (CAC) of Onne Area II Command, Mr. Mohammed Babandede, for his tireless efforts in saving the lives of many Nigerians, through the seizure of various illicit drugs, arms and ammunition at Onne Seaport, Rivers State.
AC Ibrahim further used the medium of his Award of Honour from the media team of Nigerian MomentumNews led by its Publisher, Comr. Blaise Tochukwu Elumezie, to commend and appreciate his team at the Gate, for their relentless efforts in supporting him achieve their mandate, in accordance with the Policy Thrust of the CGC.
The O/C Gate in the meantime, thanked the media team of Nigerian MomentumNews for their reportage on maritime activities at the Onne Seaport, the Eastern Zone and the nation in general. He further urged them to always ensure balanced reportage in their information dissemination.
