2025 Ember Months: Comptr. Balogun Calls For Dedication, Vigilance, Professionalism

The Comptroller of the Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone “C” Owerri, Imo State, Comptroller. Bishir Abdullahi Balogun, has drawn the attention of officers and men of the Unit on the significance of the ember months.

Speaking through a statement made available to Nigerian MomentumNews Online & Magazine; Comptr. Bishir Abdullahi Balogun called on men and officers of the Unit to be dedicated, vigilant and always exhibit professionalism in carrying out their official mandate.

According to him: “The ember months are here again, your dedication, vigilance and professionalism are highly needed during this period. Let us imbibe good conduct, build trust and uphold our integrity as Customs officers. Please, stay safe and steadfast.

“At the Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone”C,” we remain committed to excellence, integrity and national service, ensuring seamless trade facilitation and economic growth,” Comptroller Balogun affirmed.

The Unit Comptroller while welcoming his officers and men to the month of September, 2025, lauded them for being supportive to the achievements that have been recorded at the Unit under his watch, and as well, urged them to continue to work in tandem with the Policy Thrust of the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Mr. Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR.

Comptr. Balogun further used the medium to call on stakeholders to join forces with the Nigeria Customs Service’s continuous fight against the importation of illicit products in the country, through the seaports and borders across the nation, among others.

He equally assured of seamless exit of cargos within 24 hours at the ports as directed by the CGC, as long as proper documentation(s), duty payment(s)deceleration(s) are made by the Customs licensed agents and other stakeholders operating at the ports.
