The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, Barr. John Ngubo Otamiri, has paid a courtesy visit to the Palace of HRH, Eze Ken Nwala (Onye Ishi Agwuru) at Ulakwo/Umuselem Clan, in Nihi Etche, Rivers State.
The visit, according to the Caretaker Chairman, was to seek the king’s blessings and pledge his loyalty to the stool, as customs and tradition demand.
Barr. John Otamiri who praised the governor’s dedication to Rivers State’s progress, highlighted his achievements within one year in office and promised that more would come.
The LG Chairman, also used the medium to commend the good people of the community, as well as seeking for their support to his administration and that of Governor Fubara.
He in the meantime, assured them of his commitment to their well-being, pointing out that: “I will never leave you astray, In due time, I will come back and guide you on the right path.
“Don’t entertain any fear; Governor Siminalayi Fubara will complete his constitutional four years tenure and seek reelection if he so desires,” the LG boss added.
The visit was a demonstration of Barr. Otamiri’s commitment to unity and progress in Etche Local Government Area, as he was accompanied by a delegation of top officials, which include his Chief of Staff, Hon. Morgan Nwaobilor, former Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. Charles Nwaorgu, and other stakeholders during the Royal visit
Barr. Otamiri, who officially introduced his office earlier, urged the Chiefs and Council members to pray for Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara.
In his response, HRH Eze Ken Nwala (Onye Ishi Agwuru), thanked the Caretaker Chairman, Hon. Barr. Barr. John Otamiri and his entourage for the visit, adding that his kingdom will give its necessary support, for his administration to succeed.
The paramount ruler of Ulakwo Umuselem Kingdom further thanked the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, for giving Barr. Otamiri the opportunity to serve the people of Etche and the state in general.
Eze Nwala in the meantime, lauded His Excellency for his giant strides in the State in last one year of his administration, despite all the challenges.
According to him: Let me use this medium once again to reiterate my views on the achievements of our amiable Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara in the last one year, during an interview with NTA PortHarcourt and to inform him that the good of Rivers State are strongly behind him.
“He should not be deterred in delivering the dividends of democracy to all nooks and crannies in the state, as a result of his visionary leadership style, which we are appreciative of, and to know above all that God is strongly behind him.” The paramount ruler affirmed.
