Ohaji/Egbema/Agwa Youth Council Election: Comr. Elumezie Declares Interest To Run For Council President …Lauds Gov. Uzodinma, Eze Ozuruoha, Ogbonna, Nwadiogor, Others

The Publisher/Editor-In-Chief of Nigerian MomentumNews & Online Magazine and the outgoing General Secretary of Ohaji/Egbema/Agwa Youth Council (Adapalm Landlord Youth), in Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta LGAs, Imo State; Comr. Blaise Tochukwu Elumezie, has declared his interest to run for the office of the Council President.

Comr. Elumezie, who declared his interest shortly after the appointment and inauguration of a five (5) Man Electoral Committee by Engr. Nwadiogor Bosco Kingsley, the outgoing President of the Council, said that he is the most qualified candidate to vie for the position, looking at those intending to contest the presidential position of the youth council.

He noted that the office of the Council’s President, which has been zoned to Agwa in Oguta LGA, should be occupied by an experienced candidate from Umuiheoma Umukpo Unit, as the two (2) other Units of Umuezeala and Umuonyima Units in Mgbala Agwa, have already occupied the seats of President and Vice President/Acting President of the Council in the past, respectively.

The outgoing Secretary further disclosed that his immediate position as the Council General Secretary, was the highest position his Unit had attained in the history of the youth council, hence, the need for equity and fairness.

Comr. Elumezie, however, urged the two (2) other Units from Agwa Zone to borrow a leaf from the vision of the founding fathers of the Council, which ensured that power rotates between the Three (3) Catchment Areas of: Ohaji and Egbema in Ohaji/Egbema LGA and Agwa in Oguta LGA, Imo State, for smooth transition of the Council power of leadership.

The outgoing Council Exco member, who used the medium to commend the BoT, the outgoing Exco, Delegates and other stakeholders in the business of the Council, thanked in a special way, Comr. Uche Ogbonna (The Game Changer), former President and BoT member of the Youth Council, for his decision to bring him into the business of the Council.

He opined that the benevolence of Comr. Uche Ogbonna, the MD/CEO of Energy Hotel & Suits, made his presence and subsequent emergence as the General Secretary of the Youth Council, a reality.

He, in the meantime, lauded Engr. Nwadiogor Bosco Kingsley, the outgoing President of the Youth Council, whom he described as “The Empowerment President,” for the cordial relationship that exists between them and the outgoing Exco in particular, while their administration lasted.

Mr. Elumezie, while thanking the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma for the reappointment of Hon. Chief Cosmas Maduba (Odebube Na Isu) as a Commissioner in his cabinet, also lauded HRH Eze Dr. Albanus O. Ozuruoha (Eze Chinyereugo 1) of Uwaorie Autonomous Community, Agwa and the Secretary, Oguta LGA Council of Traditional Rulers, for his efforts in ensuring the return of peace and stability in Umukpo and Agwa in general.

The media practitioner in the same vein, applauded HRH Eze Blaise Ubah (Oluoha 1) of Mgbala Agwa Autonomous Community, for his strides in ensuring peace and unity in his community; as well as Hon. Gilbert Nwosu, Member Representing Oguta State Constituency at the Imo State House of Assembly, for his efforts and support to the restoration of peace and stability in Agwa Clan.

He, in the meantime, congratulated Chief Hon. Gideon Mefor, on his recent appointment as SA to the Executive Governor of Imo State on Palm Plantations, adding that it was an honour well deserved.

The Youth Council Presidential aspirant, who described Hon. Mefor as a grassroot politician and mobilizer, opined that his expertise in the politics of Ohaji/Egbema LGA and Imo State in general, is worthy of emulation.
