The programme of activities that heralded the 6th Installation and Induction Ceremony of the Prince Elite Club of Nigeria, commenced with a visit to the Catholic Home of the Elderly and the Compassion Centre (For the Physically Challenged Children) at Mkpogu, PortHarcourt, Rivers State.
During the visit on Saturday, 20th July, 2024 at the Home of the Elderly, the Exco and members of Prince Elite Club of Nigeria led by its immediate past Mayor, Sir Adindu Amadi, were received by the Matron of the Home, Rev. Sister Mary Jane Raphael Agubosi and Rev. Fr. Dan Duru, who prayed for the club members, shortly after presentation of food, gift items and cash donation to the elderly in the home.
Responding, Rev. Sister Mary Jane Raphael Agubosi, the Matron, Home of the Elderly, thanked the Prince Elite Club of Nigeria for its kind gesture to the home, pointing out that the home has been managed and sustained through individual and groups, among others’ freewill donations.
Shortly after leaving the Home of the Elderly, the club members were also received at the Compassion Centre (For Physically Challenged Children), Mkpogu by Sister Bridget Ekpe, who received the food, gift items and cash donation from the club on behalf of the Center for the physically challenged children.
While members of the Prince Elite Club of Nigeria were thrilled by the live musical performance by the children at the center, Sister Bridget Ekpe used the medium to appreciate members of Prince Elite Club of Nigeria for their generosity to the children of the center, especially in their moment of need.
In furtherance of its 6th installation and induction ceremony slated for the 21st of July, 2024, the day’s activities kick-started with a thanksgiving service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, off Trans-Calabari junction, by Eagle Cement road, Iwofe, Rumuolumeni, where the club committed its activities to God, and as well, made huge financial donations to the church, for its church auditorium project, both as a club and on individual basis.
Shortly after the close of church service, members of the Prince Elite Club of Nigeria moved to Golden Tulip Hotel event center, where the installation of Prince Anayochukwu Onyerimma (Igbo 1) as the 6th Mayor of Prince Elite Club of Nigeria and induction of new members took place.
In his address at the event, the immediate past Mayor of Prince Elite Club of Nigeria, Prince Adindu Amadi, enumerated on some of their achievements, which include, but not limited to reaching out to the needy and less privileged in the society, pointing out that their efforts to promote unity and identity have been fruitful, as well as the introduction of uniforms, which symbolizes their unity, sincerity and commitment to their values, among others.
The immediate past Mayor, further disclosed that his administration inherited the sum of N383,116.09 from his predecessor, but was able to raise the sum of N50,781,155.39, which 75% ot it was used on capital project and current expenses of 15% based on their prudent management of the fund, adding that his administration is leaving a 10% balance to the new executive, which translates to a total sum of N5,078,115,.54 as at the time of the address, according him (Adindu).
In his remarks, the BoT Chairman of Prince Elite Club of Nigeria, Chief Hon. Ifeanyi Godfrey Isikaku, who gave a brief history of the Club which started with about 9 members, thanked Prince Emmanuel Nwachukwu as the founder of the club, alongside Prince Kennedy C. Uzohuo, among others.
He noted that the club which started 27 years ago, has grown to be a club to be identified with, adding that the main objective of the club is to give back to society, particularly to the indigents in the society.
Presenting his address, shortly after installation as the 6th Mayor of the Prince Elite Club of Nigeria, Mayor Anayochukwu Onyerimma (Igbo1), who was the immediate past Deputy Mayor of the Club, said that the club which started with a G9 founding fathers, has become the fastest growing organization that is highly populated with women and men of integrity.
The current Mayor, who described his predecessor, Mayor Adindu Amadi as a meticulous and diligent leader, expressed his heartfelt gratitude for succeeding a man that is prudent, accountable and dutiful in managing public trust when reposed on him, adding that he is one man that has credibly and impeccably served their noble club with laurels.
Mayor Onyerimma while assuring of consolidating on the achievements of his predecessor, promised to provide an 18 seater bus to curb the transportation challenges being faced by club members during club meetings, as well as completion of their club house, which he described as priority, among others.
Speaking in an interview with Nigerian MomentumNews Online & Magazine, Chairman of the occasion, Chief Dr. Amb. Ernest Ifeanyi Eboigbe, lauded the immediate past executive and organizers of the 6th Installation and Induction Ceremony of Prince Elite Club of Nigeria, for a successful event, while the Club Patron, Chief Kingsley Offor, urged the newly inducted members not to be destroyers of the club.
Responding, Prince Samuel C. Amadi, MD/CEO, Samdis Worldwide Solution Limited, who took charge of the financial responsibility of the installation and induction ceremony media coverage, said he decided to shoulder the responsibility because of his quest on how best to support the club during the ceremony.
Prince Amadi, who commended the immediate past administration of Mayor Adindu Amadi for moving the club to an enviable height, further commended the BoT Chairman, Chief Hon. Ifeanyi Isikaku, for his doggedness in ensuring the stability of the club at a particular point in time, in the history of the club.
He was optimistic that the new leadership, under the watch of Mayor Anayo Onyerimma (Igbo 1), will consolidate on the gains of the immediate past administration to move the club to its expected destination and further urged the newly inducted members to always do their best, for the good of the club and society at large.
In the same vein, Prince Rtn. Deacon Chinedu Ikenga, Group Manager, Prestige Associates Limited, expressed his gratitude and commendation to the immediate past Exco, for a smooth leadership transition.
He opined that the begining and the end of activities that marked the installation and induction ceremony of the club, was a clear indication to him that he indeed, joined a club that cares for its members and the indigents in the society.
Prince Ikenga further lauded the newly inducted members on their decision to join the happy, while affirming that the new Exco will take the club to the next level.
The duo of Chief Prince Pius Onyemaizu, MD/CEO, Pachizu Global Resources Nigeria Limited and Prince Comr. Henry C. Okafor, the MD/CEO, Skyhigh First Class Company Limited, appreciated the immediate past administration on its leadership style and strides, emphasizing that the out gone Exco had set a precedence for the current administration to follow, noting that the precedence, if followed, will be a win win situation for the club at the end of the day.
Some of the newly inductees, who spoke in an interview which include: Prince Gibson Emmanuel Dick; Prince Dr. Barnabas Eberechukwu Nwagbo, MD of Belburge Bonded Terminal; Prince Victor Amanze, Manager, Odest Global Resources Limited; Prince Obinna Gregory Opara and Prince Omenaihu Felix Ikechi, MD/CEO, Felvini Towers Nigeria Limited, said they joined the club because of what it stands for, while affirming to do their best in the interest of the club and society at large.
