Fubara To Declare 43rd FEPSGA Open In Rivers …As Over 8,000 Athletes Jostle For Positions

The Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, will today perform the official opening ceremony of Federation of Public Service Games (FEPSGA).

The opening ceremony, according to a press release signed by Warisenibo Joe Johnson, Honourable Commissioner for Information & Communication, stated that the opening ceremony which is scheduled for 12 noon at the Sharks Stadium, Port Harcourt, will have in attendance dignitaries from all walks of life, including federal government officials.

He disclosed that over 8,000 athletes from 80 Ministries/Departments/Agencies of federal government, in addition to Team Rivers, are participating in the games that have witnessed intense competition.

According to Warisenibo Johnson, the governor is expected to witness the March Past of the participating teams while also taking salutes from them.

He further stated that various sporting events are taking place at the Sharks Stadium, Civic Centre, Port Harcourt Club 1928, and University of Port Harcourt.
