Prince Elite Club Ends Ibom 2025 Retreat With Higher Expectations

The Prince Elite Club of Nigeria’s maiden retreat may have come and gone, but the memories, and knowledge acquired by all and sundry members in the course of the adventure, will remain indelible.

However, members of the Club left PortHarcourt, the Rivers State capital on Friday, the 19th of September, 2025 to Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, for the commencement of their retreat, which was billed to commence from Friday, 19th to Sunday, 21st September, 2025.

On arrival at Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort, Club members were checked -in into their hotel rooms and later had their dinner at Vista Restaurant, inside the hotel.

Day two (2) of the Ibom Retreat 2025 kick-started with a morning walk across the over two thousand hectares of the Ibom Golf Course, led by Mr. Eme Asuquo Okon (aka Singer At Night), the Tour Guide, who explained the characteristics and names of various trees alongside the 13 Golf Holes that lead to Marine Service road, at the Resort.

The Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort Tour Guide, Mr. Okon, who described Golf as a game that tells the story of life, further enumerated on some of the trees he introduced to Prince Elite Club members, which include, but not limited to: Decoration tree, Family tree, Say the truth tree, Ancient tree, Empowerment tree, and the Ant hill tree, among others.

On arrival from the morning walk, the Club members went to Vista Restaurant, where they had their breakfast and subsequently moved to the Swimming pool of the hotel, where they swimmed and had sporting fun.

At the end of the swimming exercise, Club members retired to their hotel rooms, where they had some rest and later converged at Ibom Conference Hall, where the 2025 Retreat took place.

The Ibom Retreat 2025 witnessed the presence of three (3) Resource Persons, which include: Mr. Iroka Samuel Chima, who made a presentation on “Financial Risk Coverage, A Must For Every Bread Winner,” while that of Dr. Thomas Okoisama was based on “High Performance Team Leadership For Executives,” and Dr. Akan Ekong Effanga, who lectured on “Prostate And Cervical Cancer, The Need To Know Your Status.”

In his address at the retreat with the theme: “Building A Strong Club Identity,” Chief Hon. Ifeanyi Isikaku (Onwa), the Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman of the Prince Elite Club of Nigeria and the Chairman, Ibom Retreat 2025 Planning Committee, said that the retreat was designed to reposition the Club for greater efficiency.

He commended all and sundry members of the Club for making out time to be part of the programme, and used the medium to inform the newly inductees that the Club is a premium organisation of men and women, who have paid their due in character and integrity, and have excelled in their various endeavours.

While describing the admission of the newly inducted members as ‘a rare privilege sought by many and obtained by few,’ Chief Isikaku enjoined the new members to take advantage of the provisional membership and observer status granted them, to support in moving the Club to a new frontier and beyond, by bringing their experiences and expertise to bear in the affairs of the Club.

The BoT Chairman, who has been a Mayor of the Prince Elite Club of Nigeria for two (2) consecutive times, earlier disclosed that the core vision of the Club is to reach out to the less privileged in the society, using their God given individual opportunities.

He equally used the medium to thank the founding fathers of Prince Elite Club of Nigeria, which include but not limited to Prince Emmanuel Nwachukwu, Chief Prince Okafor Itam and Prince Kennedy Uzohuo, for their great vision and commitment to the club.

Presenting his address, the Mayor of Prince Elite Club of Nigeria, Prince Anayo Onyerimma (Igbo 1), enumerated on some of the achievements of his leadership in the last one year, which include: the registration of the Club’s BoT with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), project expansion at the Club’s on going Secretariat building construction, payment of rights/benefits to deserving members and other innovative projects that will move the Club to its expected destination, among others.

Mayor Onyerimma, who used the medium to commend the Organising Committee of the “Ibom Retreat 2025” for the successful nature of the maiden Retreat, further directed that the Committee would henceforth, be a Standing Committee of the Club, with the mandate of kick-starting the plan for next year’s retreat, which according to him, will be outside Nigeria, with their spouses.

He, in the meantime, called on the Deputy Mayor of the Club, Prince Sir Prominence Ezeoha, who equally served as the Chairman of Membership Screening Committee, for the inauguration of the new members.

Shortly, after the induction of the new members into the fold of Prince Elite Club, the Club Patron, Chief Sir Kingsley Offor, said it gladdened his heart to see the Princes & Princesses of the Club, come together for a Retreat, pointing out that most clubs in Nigeria started their journey like the Prince Elite Club.

Chief Offor however, used the occasion to charge the newly inductees not to be agents of disunity, but those that will ensure unity and progress of the Club. He spoke further on the community service of the Club, which according to him, is the primary vision of the Club.

The Patron in the same vein, lauded former Mayors, Excos, and the current leadership of the Club, for ensuring that the Club is moved to its expected destination.

Speaking in an interview with Nigerian MomentumNews Online & Magazine, some of the newly inductees of the Club, which include: Prince Sir Victor Ogugua Maduagwuna, Rtn. Prince Udo Onwere, Chief Prince Chimezie Mbaeri and Engr. Prince Friday Maduakolam, expressed their heartfelt gratitude for being admitted into the Club.

They further expressed their joy for a dream come true, having longed to be members of the Club over time, and promised to play their part, having heard of the vision and mission of the Club.

Speaking in an interview, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Club, Prince Sylvester Anele lauded the BoT, Patron, Organising Committee and the entire members of the Club for a successful 2025 maiden Retreat.

The PRO equally thanked God for his journey mercy upon members of the Club, while expressing optimism that the next Retreat would be built upon the success of the 2025 outing.

The highpoints of the event include: pinning of membership crest on the newly inducted members/presentation of Club constitution, and presentation of Awards to the three (3) Resource Persons, by the Patron of the Club, Chief Sir Kingsley Offor.

The retreat came to an end with a dinner and subsequent departure of members from the hotel on Sunday, 21st September, 2025, shortly after breakfast.
