The Area 1 Command of Nigeria Customs Service, under the control of Comptroller Salamatu Atuluku, has broken an impressive revenue collection record of ₦33.753 billion in October, 2025, as against 9.079 billion recorded in October 2024.
This achievement, according to the CAC represents a 272% increase in the month of October alone, solidifying her position as a trailblazer in the nation’s customs administration.
Comptroller Atuluku’s outstanding performance is a testament to her dedication, strategic leadership, and innovative approach to revenue collection.
Under her guidance, the Port Harcourt Area 1 Command has surpassed its annual revenue target of ₦216 billion, accumulating ₦247.461 billion from January to October, 2025, a commendable 51% growth compared to the same period in 2024, despite having two full months left in the calendar year.
Speaking at a press briefing on November 7th, 2025, Comptroller Atuluku tagged the success to the collective efforts of her team, noble stakeholders, and the deployment of new age technology by the Nigerian Government, including the B’Odogwu digital analytics platform.
This innovative tool has enabled the Command to properly track revenue, identify bottlenecks, and ensure real-time accountability, as well as complying with the Nigeria Customs Service commitment to trading transparently and efficiently.
