The Member representing Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency in Imo State, Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu, has been honoured with an “Exemplary Leadership Award.”
The award which was presented to Hon. Dibiagwu on the 19th of July, 2026 the Council of Knights, Anglican Diocese On The Lake, was said to be in recognition of his “Exemplary Leadership Characterized By Vision, Dedication, And Transformative Leadership To Humanity,” as endorsed by Arch Zack O.Ijeoma, KSC, President of the Council of Knights.
This is just another feather to the cap of the Honourable Member, who has distinguished himself in the business of representation at the Federal House of Representatives.
A man, who has brought the dividends of democracy to the door steps of the people of his constituency, particularly in the areas of: education, job opportunities, completion of several classroom blocks for students across communities and empowerment programmes, among others.
Responding shortly after receiving the award, Hon. Dibiagwu said: “Yesterday, I was in the company of Hon. Engr. Gilbert Chiedozie Nwosu – Member representing Oguta State Constituency and our party’s flag bearer for the 2027 State Assembly Election and other respected leaders of my Constituency, to the Council of Knights celebration at the Anglican Diocese On The Lake.
“I was equally honoured with an Award For Exemplary Leadership by them.
“The award reminded me that every work done in the house of God comes with a blessing. Sometimes, it must not come in the form of this award but it does come. I appreciated that immensely and humbly dedicated the same to God Almighty for his enablement and grace.
“I promised to continue to work assiduously in the vineyard of God and continuously propagate his gospel too. This commitment is a reflection of giving back to God from the much He has given me.
“I equally remain indebted to the Knighthood of St. Christopher, the reverends and Bishop on the lake, for the constant prayers for us. I believe that the prayers have continued to be a source of strength and sustenance, hence, should continue endlessly.
“I further urged them to remain steadfast in those prayers as they remain the bedrock and propeller to all we can achieve together.
“While appreciating the award, I urged the knights to live an exemplary life worthy of emulation. A life that will constantly transform the younger generation and spice their interests in becoming one.
“I reminded them that, knighthood is a sacred calling that demands positive mentorship. When the tenets of knighthood are guided prestigiously, it will always replicate in fostering the growth of the Church spiritually, socially and otherwise,” Hon. Dibiagwu stated.
