COMJAN Honours Maritime Stakeholder, Oganuzor As Patron …As Group Calls For Media Collaboration With Odest Management

A Coalition of Maritime Journalists Association of Nigeria (COMJAN) covering maritime activities in the South East and South South Zones of the country, has called for an effective collaboration with the management of Odest Bonded Terminal (Operators of Odest Bonded Terminal).

Speaking at a courtesy visit to the MD/CEO of Odest Global Resources Limited (Operators of Odest Bonded Terminal), Mr. Chidera Sylvester Oganuzor;; Prof. Amb. Ralph John JP DD, the National President of COMJAN, lauded Mr. Oganuzor for his numerous contributions in the economic development of the country.

Amb. John, while speaking at the PortHarcourt office of Mr. Oganuzor on the 8th of August, 2026 described Mr. Oganuzor as easy and compassionate man that never segregates, irrespective of tribe or language.

He maintained that the reason for inducting Mr. Oganuzor as one of the Patrons of COMJAN was based on his years of patronage to individual maritime media houses, journalists and huge revenue generation to the Nigeria Customs Service as a bonded terminal operator, operating within Onne Area II Customs Command.

The COMJAN President equally used the medium to call for collaboration between Odest Bonded Terminal and COMJAN, adding that such synergy will ensure proper and adequate reportage on the activities of the terminal by COMJAN.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Chidera Sylvester Oganuzor, the MD/CEO of Odest Global Resources Limited, thanked COMJAN members for finding him worthy of the honour.

While acknowledging the efforts being made by COMJAN in disseminating information on maritime activities within the zones, Mr. Oganuzor urged the group Exco to continue to do its best, for the good of the zones and the maritime industry in general.

Mr. Oganuzor in the meantime, promised to support and be part of COMJAN’s proposed annual event, which is scheduled to take place in PortHarcourt, the Rivers State capital.
