PortHarcourt -The 2nd of June, 2025 will remain indelible in the mind of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents’ (ANLCA) National President, Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji, his amiable wife and their entire family, as ANLCA members, maritime stakeholders and friends converged at Golden Tulip Hotels, PortHarcourt, to identify with the National President and his wife, on their Birthday celebration.
In their goodwill messages, the duo of Nze Theodore Ejezie, National Assistant Secretary of ANLCA and Mr. Wale Cole, ANLCA Chairman, Tin Can Island Port chapter, Lagos State, extolled the virtue of Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji, whom they described as a mentor, and an achiever in the freight forwarding business.
While proposing a toast at the event, Chief Sir Ernest Elochukwu, former National President of ANLCA and current Board of Trustees (BoT) member, opined that time would not permit him to talk about his relationship with the celebrant, Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji, having started their apprenticeship simultaneously, years back, and have been together since then.
He described Mr. Nwokeoji as a very patient and peaceful man, who can jovially pass an important message to someone, without the person being hurt at the end of their interaction.
Sir Elochukwu, while commending Mr. Nwokeoji’s wife said: “Before, it used to be – behind every successful man, there is a woman. But now, it is being reviewed to say that beside every successful man there is a woman, which suggests to mean that the woman wouldn’t have contributed anything, if she was to be behind the husband.
“But, when she is beside the husband, it means that she is close to the husband and has the access to contribute meaningfully to his success story,” Chief Elochukwu stated.
He further used the occasion to laud Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku (Onwa) on his strides as the current Chairman of ANLCA, Onne Seaport chapter and his role in ensuring the success of the birthday celebration of ANLCA National President and his amiable wife.
Speaking in an interview, Mr. Charles Okogbue, Commercial Manager/Customers Relations, Onne Multipurpose Terminal (OMT), expressed his heartfelt satisfaction on the level of encomiums that were poured on the person of Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji.
Mr. Okogbue opined that his take home message to his management would be on the peaceful nature that was ascribed to Mr. Nwokeoji and his ability to unify ANLCA in the last one year plus of his administration.
The duo of Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku (Onwa), ANLCA Chairman, Onne Seaport chapter and Mr. Mike Ebeatu, immediate past Chairman, ANLCA, Onne Seaport chapter, among others, were commended by stakeholders for their support in ensuring a successful birthday celebration in honour of the National President of ANLCA, Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji and his lovely wife.
Some of the stakeholders that attended the event include: Chief Kingsley Offor, CRFFN member; Mrs. Ify Okolue, South-South Zonal Coordinator, Nigerian Shippers’ Council; Mr. Innocent Ogbuji, General Manager, Government Relations, WACT and Rtn. Deacon Chinedu Ikenga, Group Manager, Prestige Associates Limited, among others.
