ANLCA Chapter Election: I Will Work In Tandem With ANLCA, FG, CG Adeniyi’s Policies On Seamless Operations At The Ports, Says Chief Isikaku

The incumbent Vice Chairman, Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Onne Seaport chapter, Hon. Chief Godfrey Ifeanyi Isikaku, has promised to work in tandem with ANLCA NECOM team, the Federal Government and Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) policies on ensuring seamless operations at Onne Seaport, among others, if elected as the chapter chairman.

The MD/CEO, Godify Group of Companies Limited (Operators of Slot Bonded Terminal), who spoke in an interaction with some media practitioners in PortHarcourt, the Rivers State capital, emphasized on running an all inclusive government, as well as ensuring seamless operations at Onne Seaport, if elected to man the affairs of the chapter.

On the welfare of members, Hon. Isikaku assured of consulting with members and stakeholders on the best insurance policy that would be suitable for members, be it life or death insurance policies.

 

While buttressing on the importance of training and retraining of its members on the current realities on ground, as done by Nigeria Customs Service to its officers, promised to provide a certification programme for its members, through an affiliation with a maritime academy.

The freight forwarder, who is known for his philanthropic gestures in the service of God and humanity, opined that he would take advantage of the association’s parcel of land to build a guests house, where members can always converge to wine and dine from time to time, and as a source of revenue for the chapter.

The Onne chapter chairmanship candidate further affirmed to work with the ‘Restoration Agenda’ of ANLCA National President, Mr. Kingsley Emenike Nwokeoji and his NECOM team, for the good of all and sundry members of Onne Seaport chapter.

The freight forwarder, further assured that he will work in synergy with the Nigeria Customs Service, by ensuring that cargo(es) without issues exit the port within the the stipulated 48 hours.

Chief Isikaku unequivocally, assured that his administration will synergies with Nigeria Customs Service to ensure that whatever impediment or bottleneck to the delay of any examined and duty paid cargo(es) from exiting the port within 48 hours, to be addressed properly.

He, in the meantime, promised to meet with Nigeria Customs Service on the possibility of having a 24 hours and 7 days (24/7) operations at Onne Seaport, among other critical issues, if elected.
